You could qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan.

What is the 19+ Advanced Learner Loan?

An Advanced Learner Loan is a government loan that students may be able to take advantage of to help assist them with the cost of studying an eligible course at a college in England. An Advanced Learner Loan is available to students aged 19 and over who are wanting to study an eligible Level 3, 4, 5 or 6 course.

How do I qualify for this loan?

You must have lived in the UK for more than three years and have a ‘settled status’. Students will not have to pay all the tuition fees upfront. The minimum loan amount is £300 and you apply for this online.

How does paying back the loan work?

You only pay back your loan when you finish your course and earn more than £25,000 a year. If you successfully complete an Access to Higher Education course and go to university and complete your degree, then you will not pay back any balance outstanding on your loan.

Does the loan affect my credit score?

This loan won’t affect your credit score, and your credit rating will not be considered.

STUDENT SATISFACTION RATING

“As a working mum and business owner, I was initially cautious about starting my degree, unsure if I could juggle it all. But taking the leap has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

It’s been challenging, but I’ve loved every moment. The experience has made me more confident, assertive, and sure of my abilities. I’ve made new friends and opened my world to new and exciting opportunities.

If you’re considering taking the leap, and you have the determination and commitment, I highly recommend it – you’ll surprise yourself with what you can achieve, I know I have.”
